The Milepost 5 vision is that of a vital, empowering, supportive
artists’ community. It is a vision of opportunity where working artists
across disciplines, at all stages of their careers, can afford to buy
or rent -- to live, work, and create among peers.
Milepost 5 is committed to artists who are committed to
furthering themselves, their work, and our communities. While Milepost
5 is an intentional community, with residents sharing the common bond
of lives devoted to the arts, it is not a prescribed community. With
this open-endedness and flexibility, Milepost 5 is a blank canvas,
defined and created by the artists who create it.
